We loved 'cooling off' in Lake Erie. We live about 7 miles away from a beach spot (Tom discovered it)!

Carter and Brady are running down the driveway to meet their Dad who is coming home from work. Tom loads them up in the truck and brings them home with Jackson in the back. I love that Tom is such a great Dad and the boys ADORE Him. They want to be just like him! In fact, they have both said that they are growing whiskers on their chin!! : )

We have rented our home to a family and are caretaking/staying with friends that we have known for about 5 years: Suede and Leona Knutson. In fact the boys call them Gramma Noni and Papa Suede (or Papa Lonny or Papa Henry whatever fits the day)
We love it here... It's a beautiful home and property.

I miss you Frankie and Paul. One memorable thing about their visit is that we took the boys on their first hike in Glacier Park and it was about 1.5 miles each way! The kids got wet up at the top of the hike so on the way back their feet were as heavy as bricks. Interesting.... Paul got to carry 6 month old Dillon most of the way. We think you're awesome! Thanks for coming to visit us!

I haven't laughed like this for a LONG time. It was so funny to be pulled behind a horse on a sled through the crisp, beautiful white snow. Dillon was 3 weeks old and I was still recovering from his birth. A day out in God's creation was just what I needed. It was awesome!!

Dad, Carter and Brady were sure excited when we could go pick up the rest of our family! I'm just so thankful that all is well and everyone is great. Dillon has two older brothers who are so amazed that his hands and feet are so small! And Cristy has a husband who adores her and is so grateful that we're all together again as a family of five!

We welcomed Dillon Travis into the world on Sunday, January 6th! He weighed in at a painful 9 lbs 3 oz and was over 22 inches long. We're already calling him 'Big D'. The nurses said that Cristy was the first person they've ever seen to deliver a baby while wearing a baseball cap! Way to go Cristy! That was just the start of the 'firsts' for my amazing wife... Not long after the delivery, the doctor didn't like that Cristy was still bleeding so she tried a few things, and soon decided to take her into the O.R. (operating room)! After a while in the OR room with no success, they began preparing for a histerectomy when her other doctor decided to try a new procedure that he had just recently researched. It was basically a 'balloon' that was inserted and filled with fluid and it simply put pressure against the walls of the utereus to stop the bleeding. She was the first one to have this procedure done in this hospital. The following day they removed some fluid every so often and Thank God it worked, the bleeding stopped! She spent the entire day after in the ICU just recovering. The doctors said that she had lost half of her body's blood supply and had to receive 6 units of blood and tons of fluids. I'm going to start giving blood more often.... So that was a tense 6 hours and I'm so thankful for everyone's support and prayers as well as for the wisdom of the doctor team while in the OR. Cristy was able to move back to the OB department and recovered for another day with her new baby! I'm so thankful that everyone is healthy and doing well!

We love our mamma, she is so special to us and she loves us just how we need it. She is committed to being the best and she is the best! She naps a lot, eats a lot, and laughs a lot. What a great life we live...

With only having two boys, a pregnant wife, and running two businesses and looking at a third, I figured we didn't have enough going on so we got a puppy! We picked up 'Jackson' on Haloween night so you could say he was the ultimate trick or treat! He lives in the laundry room and runs around the house all crazy at times. Other times he just sleeps and sleeps and sleeps. We're happy to call him ours!

Spiderman and Bob the Builder were quite popular around the neighborhood... They had a blast and made off like bandits! Carter's famous words were, "You guys hide and we'll go get the candy!!" and Brady kept telling people, "Have a good night!!".

I realized the other night when I was looking at Baby names that Brady means 'Spirited' and is that ever a true statement!! He is spirit and wild and crazy!! He turned 2 this summer and got a brand new blue bike with training wheels. He talks so much and the other day started to say 'awesome'. He is still our loud child... but at least he can talk now and not scream to get out attention. He is the cutest when he says something that he thinks is funny and then says, 'Brady funny Mom' and squinches up his nose and shoulders and squints his eyes! He is so beautiful to us and we love being with him! He loves being with dad and going to the store with him!! The first thing he says when he wakes up is Apple Juice! And his favorite way to phrase words is to say two words around our names... 'Work, Daddy work?' or 'eat, Mom eat?' or Yes, Mom Yes! It's the best!!

Carter turned 4 this summer and was SOOO excited to get a brand new red bike with training wheels. He brings us so much joy everyday as he learns more and more and becomes more independant! He can dress himself now and even put his own socks on. All of that pleases him so much! Plus, he is VERY funny! The things that he says and when he uses the hand gestures... It has us cracking up often! We are loving this age and realize that it won't be long and he won't be little anymore. He is doing preschool at home with Mom and Brady. So far he has made it to the letter 'C'. Carter LOVES being with his Dad and 'working'. Last night they were coloring together and he said, 'I love working like this' as he was waving his marker around to help explain what he meant. It was awesome!

At first the sled wasn't the ideal method of transportation... Brady kept tipping over when he sat in the sled alone! And Carter wanted to walk, until of course he realized that his boots were heavy! Plus it was an uphill climb. But by the end of the journey the boys were very happy to sit and get a fun, fast ride from Dad. Plus, Brady figured out his balance and how to 'lean'. It was great!

While we were in search of "the tree", Dad and Carter decided to take advantage of a a minor fall and catch a few snow flakes while maxin' and relaxin'. The weather decided to change on us unexpectedly (as it often does here in Montana) and went from blue skies to dumping snow in a matter of a few minutes...

Well today is Thanksgiving and I, Cristy feel I have SO much to be thankful for. This has definately been the best year of my life apart from when I first became a Christian and met Tom in Switzerland (that was 1997-98). So now it is 2006 and I'm thankful for my very hard working faithful husband, Tom. Next, my 2 healthy, happy boys, Carter and Brady. They are so much fun every day! I'm thankful to God for blessing me this year with such rich relationships with friends... You will see most of our friends in this blog (read on so you can see yourself!). So, when you think about your life... Think on this. People are more important than things, people are more important than things and people are more important than things! We have definately been blessed with an abundance of friends this year. This is Jason & Vangie Peterson. They have introduced us to the game, Settlers of Catan. Over about 5 days, we saw them 3 times and played Catan!

Levi is their 2 year old boy who is Carter's fast friend. The kids connected as quickly as the adults did and it's been so terrific for both families. Levi and Carter spend their time running from the kitchen to the living room. And then little Brady makes sure he is included by walking into the circle and screaming to announce his presence! We laugh and laugh at our cute little boys!

The head of our house: Tom Jensen! He is having a fantastic year! His greatest joy is being a father and being home with his family (I think that was true for him when he was 6 years old too but you'll have to ask his terrific mother!) His dream is to work from home so that is what we are focusing all of our energy on right now. This picture was taking on a camping trip with Marci and Eric in Canada. He is giving me a hard time as usual! He must get that from either his Dad (?) or his brother Greg (?)! We all loved our camping trip and hope to do more of that!

Brady, our youngest! He is our courageous, fearless boy who loves to be up high! At the age of one he is climbing up large slides and ladders!He loves to push wagons, trucks and his toy piano accross the floor! His biggest achievement is learning to walk as of a couple of weeks ago. He celebrated his 1st birthday in June and changed from a baby to a little boy! He also loved camping but not the car ride as much. He is an active little boy and doesn't want to sit for very long... keeps Mom on her toes.

Carter, our first boy! Like most boys, he loves to be outside and he also loves anything to do with wheels: Tractors, Trucks and Semi's. He is a sweet boy that says Pweese and Sank you! He is our cautious, trustworthy boy who has a sensitive heart especially if someone has an owwie! His big achievement this month was learning to use the big toilet (thanks to stickers and M and M's). He celebrated his 3rd birthday with an awesome 'Nemo' cake made by Dad! camping with Carter was awesome. He loved every minute of it and we loved watching him!
